Cougar Town's Courteney Cox Offer To Head Cougar Life.

Courteney Cox, first a Friend to all and now a Cougar Ambassador extraordinaire, is finally free to hunt once more! Cox split from her "eccentric" husband of 11 years, David Arquette, mid-October, much to the delight of young men everywhere. Cox helped bring the term "cougar" out of dark bars filled with chain-smoking, heavily made up women in too-tight 80's spandex preying on young, most likely drunk college boys, and into the realm of the sexy, single, relatable (if slightly older) woman looking for a smart, energetic, and hot (if slightly younger) man. Before starring on ABC's Cougar Town, Cox had a cougarific situation on Friends, when Monica ended up dating a high school student after they both lied about their age. The older women/younger men storyline came back in later seasons, with Rachel Green dating her assistant, and Ross even admitted to having dalliances with his school librarian (who from the description, stretched cougar into sabre tooth territory). Cox met David Arquette on the set of Scream, where he played doofy Deputy Dewey, and the pair had what some considered one of the strangest couplings in Hollywood. Arquette has a habit of showing up to red carpet events looking like he either lives on the street or got dressed in the dark, while Cox's fashion sensibilities are much more refined.

Coming on the heels of her split, the wildest dating site on the internet, CougarLife.com, offered Cox a $1 million sponsorship deal. Cougar Life was created by cougarlicious expert Claudia Opdenkelder in February of 2009. And Opdenkelder, a successful business woman, isn't just the president - she's a member! Opdenkelder has been dating a man 14 years her junior for over two years now, and she couldn't be happier! Opdenkelder has a booming business in CougarLife.com as women all over the world are realizing that hot, young, smart, independent men are the untapped dating resource of this generation. Women are tired of dating men who look and feel 10 years older, because of stress from their career are too tired to get it done in the bedroom, who don't have the energy to stay out past 9pm on a weeknight. These men are also stubborn, stuck in their ways, hesitant to change even if it's for the good of the relationship, and can have old-fashioned ideas of how a relationship should work.

CougarLife.com and Cox's Cougar Town were made for each other. CougarLife.com unveiled their commercial and introduced their services to everyone watching the show's world premiere. The website and the show go together like peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and cheese, cougars and cubs. Opdenkelder says Cox has always been the ultimate cougar in her mind: "A huge credit for our success goes to Courteney, because Cougar Town helped eliminate the stigma associated with the word 'cougar'. Now that Courteney has eliminated the negative stigma, we feel this is the perfect time for her to represent our singles dating service geared towards women in the same circumstances. Courteney relates to the same women who join my service - recently divorced, single moms or 'sexy but still single' like me. Thanks to advertising on shows like Cougar Town, we've just hit our 1,000,000th member in only 13 months which is proof that older women dating younger men is not a fad but here to stay. Many women in their 30's, 40's or 50's on other dating service website often lie about their age because men in their age group are looking for women who are younger. These women flock to my site because they can be open and honest about their age because that's what the men on my service want."

Opdenkelder has been leading the charge in terms of changing what the word "cougar" means to the general public, and having youthful, vibrant, funny Cox represent cougars every week on ABC doesn't hurt either. Cox still has not responded to the offer, but the latest news reports say that Arquette could be coming after $50 million. It makes sense then, that Cox would delay saying yes until after a possible divorce is finalized. If Cox did say yes, she would be the face, voice, and body of the site, appearing in 12 radio ads, four television commercials, and 30 public appearances. She might even find a cute young cub of her own to distract her from her relationship woes - if she signs up on CougarLife.com.
